File Tools
File Tools allows you to locate
and access text files (including procedure
files) that contain Web
objects. You can view, run, compile,
extract, or delete files in the selected directory. This tool contains the
following interface elements:
- File Filter
- Specifies filter criteria for
a file search. Wildcards are allowed.

- List
- Lists files as defined in the
File Filter edit box.

- Filter Options
- Displays a drop-down list of
standard filter options. The default filter is for
WebSpeed source files.

- Directories
- Displays subdirectories of
the currently selected directory.

- Files in ...
- Displays the results of the file
search. Allows you to select a file or files to perform
file operations without the Tool Icons.

- Tool Icons:
The following icons work for any
single file selected in the Files in ... list:

- Displays a listing of the
file. You cannot edit the contents but you can select
text and copy it (to paste into another file).

- Runs the file.
The following icons work for
multiple file selections in the Files in ... list:

- Compiles the file. The
Compiler displays a message indicating whether the file
compiled successfully. If it did not, it displays a list
of errors.

- Creates an HTML offset file for the selected file.

- Deletes the file. Displays an
alert message asking you to verify the operation.
