The full-text search (FTS) was implemented in #5219, but only for PostgreSQL dialect. The goal of this task is to track the effort of implementing the equivalent for MariaDb.

Briefing on MariaDb support:
  • the FTS can be activated by adding a full-text index directly when creating a table or inject it into an existing table using FULLTEXT keyword;
  • beside the Natural Language search mode, a 'boolean' mode also exists, in which includes (+), excludes (-) and prefixes (*).

This is a bit different from the 4GL and PSQL small grammar for searches, but I hope we can find a solution.
