FQL is a language that renders into a subset of SQL. It needs documentation, especially since it is a conversion artifact and a language that is highly proprietary.

It should include details of:

  • Every FQL feature, syntax, capabilities, limitations, known issues etc.
  • How 4GL features translate into FQL features.
  • How FQL translates into SQL and the differences by SQL dialect.
