History

#1 Updated by Nick Saxon over 19 years ago

@18860 - Feature #1:

The Progress PP allows weird names to be used as variable names in the include file references. For now, no check is made in the p2j preprocessor for the name syntax validity.

An optional (-strict option?) feature should turn on the syntax validity checks and produce warnings or errors if the check fails.

@18861 - Feature #2:

The Progress PP doesn't check the digits 2 and 3 in the octal escapes: ~123. Things like ~3qw are accepted. I don't even want to know what they produce.

An optional (-strict option?) feature should turn on the syntax validity checks for the whole sequence and report warnings or errors when the check fails.
