For a customer-specific grid widget, Vladimir wrote an alternative MVC scrolling implementation. The details are documented in the scrolling.pdf in #4594-13.

Hynek reviewed this and notes:

The MVC approach is really nice. I like the clean separation of concerns. It would certainly make the code cleaner. If we had infinite amount of resources than I would like to see this approach implemented in our framework. But considering the level of stability of our current scrolling implementation, its simplicity of use (when following the existing idioms) and the tight time schedules, I don't think it is worthy to spend time on this right now. Functionally I don't see any benefits, in the end it is two scroll bars with thumbs :-).

This task is to remember the potential improvement to our code for future development.
