We are currently at Keikai version 5.12.2. The version was released in July 2013, all development focus seems to be on version 6 now.
Some considerations:- Keikai 6 requires Java 11 or newer.
- There are many customizations done in FWD for Keikai 5. Some of them won't be required as they were applied to Keikai. Some use non-public APIs or undocumented features so breakage can be expected.
- Good amount of regression testing will be needed when moving to 6.

Yes, there should be some performance improvements. It is hard to say how much will these affect our use cases, some of the improvements were also ported to our integration.
I went through the functional changes and there are some that improve compatibility with Excel, which is certainly welcome addition.
