• SHARE-LOCK (including implicit usage)
• EXCLUSVE-LOCK
• NO-WAIT
• how locks get released (implicitly and explicitly via RELEASE), including interactions with buffer scoping
• how locks get downgraded, including interactions with buffer scoping
• remote database tests
