See #7143-1419 and #8828-52. It should support all database types and it must be part of our Installation, Configuration and Administration Guide. Include details on why and when it should be done.

This documentation needs to be updated for MariaDB (and soon for SQL Server) and it should be made clearer/cleaner overall. The command to install/reinstall the UDFs should be front and center. Currently, it is buried in an ant target example. It should be made more obvious how to run this from the command line.
